About Venue
Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built to completion under the direct supervision of Walt Disney.
Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with 726 million visits since it opened (as of December 2018). In 2018, the park had approximately 18.6 million visits, making it the second most visited amusement park in the world that year, behind only Magic Kingdom, the very park it inspired.
There are actually two parks located in the Disneyland compound, the traditional Disneyland Park as well as the California Adventure Park, offering So Cal themed rides that are better suited to the thrill seekers amongst you. Both parks offer all the magic and insight you've come to expect from Disney.
Disneyland Park was the first of its kind created by Walt Disney and offers 85 acres of rides, animatronics, beautiful walkways, whimsical characters and fun around every corner. The park is divided by Main Street and features 7 distinct areas including Tomorrowland, Michey's Toontown, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Critter Country, Adventureland and New Orleans Square.
